You may have heard the abbreviation WWJD: What Would Jesus Do? or WWJS: What Would Jesus Say?

We use this question when we face a special challenge in our lives. We may have to make a tough decision on what to do, or what to say. We may choose to reflect in silence about the difficult situation at hand. We may imagine Jesus to be in our shoes and how he would act or speak.

You may have never heard WAYJ. I just made it up. But I am certain I am not the first one. J is Jesus. What could be WAYJ? It is: Where Are You Jesus?You may get angry that God is not responding to your prayers, or you may question the Presence of God in your lives. You may then say WARG: Where Are you God? Where Are You God when I get in trouble? Where Are You God when I need you the most? You are never there. You have abandoned me. I cannot see Your Love in my life. How can I call You God My Father?

This morning at our Tuesday Scripture Prayer Group, I was reflecting on the amazing Sunday readings about Jesus' ASCENSION: the Risen Lord being lifted up and disappearing in a cloud (Acts of the Apostles 1:1-11). Where is Jesus gone? Where Is Jesus TODAY? Can I see Him?

I have asked people I encountered this afternoon: Where is Jesus? I got various answers: Jesus is in Heaven...Jesus is in my heart... Jesus is everywhere... Jesus is in the Tabernacle....Jesus is in the Eucharist...Ask yourself the same question. What do you say? What do you really believe?

Good answers can be found in JESUS OF NAZARETH Part II "HOLY WEEK” written by Pope Benedict XVI. It covers the life of Jesus from the Entrance into Jerusalem to the RESURRECTION. Start by reading the last 15 pages, a very insightful Epilogue: “He Ascended into Heaven, He is Seated at the Right Hand of the Father and He will come again in Glory.”

Pope Benedict emphasizes the own words of the Risen Lord: "I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, UNTIL THE END OF THE AGES (Matthew 28:20). This is the ending of Matthew's Gospel, proclaimed on Ascension Sunday in the current YEAR C, Year of Matthew. We will hear these words this coming Sunday. Meditate on them: Do you believe Jesus is with you always? Can you find the Presence of Jesus in your daily life? Can you see Jesus? When and where do you see Him?

One of our greatest Scripture Scholars and Theologians, Pope Benedict 16 writes at the end of his book “HOLY WEEK Part II”; “Jesus is with us now, and especially close in the EUCHARISTIC PRESENCE”. Do you believe this?

Donde Esta Jesus? (DEJ)

Talvez han escuchado la abreviatura QJH: Que es lo que Jesus haria? o QJD: Que es lo que Jesus diria?

Nos preguntamos esto cuando Enfrentamos serias adversidades en nuestra vida. Cuando tenemos que tomar decisiones dificiles acerca de lo que debemos hacer, o decir. Podriamos decidir estar en silencio y reflexionar acerca de la situacion dificil que tenemos cerca. Podriamos imaginarnos a Jesus en nuestros zapatos y pensar como actuaria o hablaria.

Talvez nunca has escuchado DEJ. Porque acabo de inventar esta frase.  J es Jesus, que significa DEJ? esto: Donde esta Jesus?

Talvez te enojas porque Dios no responde a tus oraciones, o talvez estas dudando de la presence de Dios en tu vida. Entonces diras DED: Donde esta Dios? Donde esta Dios cuando estoy en problemas? Donde esta Dios cuando mas lo Necesito? Nunca esta alli. Me ha abandonado. No puedo ver tu amor en mi vida. Como puedo llamar a Dios mi Padre?

La mañana del martes en nuestro Grupo de Estudio de las Escrituras, reflexionaba acerca de las impresionantes lecturas del Domingo acerca de la ASCENSION de Jesus: el Señor Resucitado siendo Elevado y desapareciendo entre las nubes (Hechos 1:1-11). A donde se fue Jesus? Donde esta Jesus HOY? Puedes verlo?

He preguntado a la gente con quien me reuni esta tarde: Donde esta Jesus?  Y Me dieron varias respuestas: Jesus esta en el Cielo… Jesus esta en mi Corazon… Jesus esta en todas partes…Jesus esta en el Tabernaculo… Jesus esta en la Eucaristia. Hagase usted la misma pregunta. Que responderia? Que es lo que realmente cree?

Buenas respuestas las puede encontrar en el Libro JESUS DE NAZARETH  parte II “SEMANA SANTA” escrito por el Papa Benedicto XVI. Aborda desde la entrada de Jesus a Jerusalem hasta la RESURRECCION. Empiecen leyendo las ultimas 15 paginas, un epilogo profundo: “El Ascendio al Cielo, Esta Sentado a la Derecha del Padre y volvera en gloria.”

El Papa Benedicto enfatiza las propias palabras del Señor Resucitado: “ YO ESTOY CON USTEDES SIEMPRE, HASTA EL FIN DE LOS TIEMPOS” (Mateo 28:20). Este es el final del Evangelio de Mateo proclamado el Domingo de la Ascension este AÑO C, el año de Mateo. Escucharemos estas palabras este Domingo que viene, Meditelas. usted cree que Jesus esta siempre con usted? Usted puede encontrar la presencia de Jesus en su vida diaria? Puede ver a Jesus? Cuando y donde lo pueden ver?

El Papa Benedicto 16 escribe al final de su libro “SEMANA SANTA  Parte II”: Jesus esta con nosotros ahora, y especialmente cerca en la PRESENCIA EUCARISTICA” lo creen?
