Celebrating The Joy Of Pentecost With Bishop Esposito!

June 5, 2025Our parish is honored to have the presence of BISHOP ESPOSITO on PENTECOST Sunday June 8. As announced earlier, Bishop Esposito will be the main Celebrant at the 11:30 am Mass and then will join us at a Reception in the Father Martin Hall. You are all invited! TOGETHER, LET’s CELEBRATE IN LOVE THE JOY OF PENTECOST, THE JOY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
As a parish who welcomes everyone, we have become a multi-cultural parish united by the Love of the Holy Spirit and the Love of Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit. We come from many different countries of origin: USA, Philippines, El Salvador, Guatemala, Vietnam, Nigeria, Cameroon, Canada, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, Malaysia, Guatemala, Korea, Peru, Togo, Senegal, Mexico, Bolivia, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Poland, Spain, France, Honduras, Ukraine etc.
Pentecost is a time to celebrate our Unity in Diversity. We may speak different languages: English, Spanish, French, Tagalo, or many local dialects such as Igbo, Creole, or Cebuano. But as Christians, we all speak one common language: the language of LOVE. As St John says in his First Letter: GOD IS LOVE. The Holy Spirit is the Love between the Son and the Father. The Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Trinity of Love: Three different Persons in One God. Each one Person of the Holy Trinity Loves the other two Persons. Since our Baptism, we have the entire Holy Trinity within us. At the time of our Baptism, we received the Holy Spirit and became sons and daughters of God as full members of the Catholic Church. At Confirmation we received more of the Holy Spirit: wereceived the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which stay within us for the rest of our lives.
At Pentecost, we are reminded that the beginning of the Church began in the Upper Room in Jerusalem: “When the time for PENTECOST was fulfilled, Jesus’ disciples were ALL IN ONE PLACE TOGETHER... And suddenly there came from the sky, a strong driving WIND, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them TONGUES as of FIRE, which came to rest on each one of them. And they were ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak in different tongues and THE SPIRIT enabled them to PROCLAIM. (Acts 2:1-11). This is the beginning of the Proclamation of the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the entire world: the beginning of the Catholic Church.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, send Your Holy Spirit upon each one of us as we celebrate Pentecost together! Fill our hearts with the Love of the Holy Spirit! Open our hearts to the Desire to be with God at all times! Come Holy Spirit! Help us to understand that to be with God is to be in Heaven and that Heaven begins on Earth right here right now. May our greatest desire be to be with God at all times!
May God grant each of us a most blessed Pentecost Celebration!

CELEBRANDO LA ALEGRÍA DEL PENTECOSTÉS
CON EL OBISPO ESPOSITONuestra Parroquia tiene el honor de tener la presencia del OBISPO ESPOSITO el Domingo 8 de junio Dia de PENTECOSTES. Como se anunció antes, el Obispo Esposito será el celebrante principal en la Misa de las 11:30 am y después se reunirá con nosotros para la Recepción en el Salón Padre Martin. ¡Todos están invitados! ¡JUNTOS CELEBREMOS EL AMOR LA ALEGRÍA DEL PENTECOSTÉS, LA ALEGRÍA DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO!
Como una parroquia que da la bienvenida a todos, nos hemos convertido en una parroquia multicultural unida por el Amor del Espíritu Santo y el Amor de Maria, esposa del Espíritu Santo. Venimos de diferentes paises de origen: Estados Unidos, Filipinas, El Salvador, Guatemala, Korea, Vietnam, Nigeria, Cameroon, Trinidad & Tobago, Malasia, Peru, Togo,Senegal, Mexico, Bolivia, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Polonia, España, Francia, Honduras, Ukrania etc.
Pentecostes es el tiempo de celebrar la Unidad en la Diversidad. Podemos hablar diferentes lenguages como: Inglés, Español, Frances, Tagalo, o muchos otros dialectos locales tales como Igbo, Creole, o Cebuano. Pero como Cristianos, todos hablamos un lenguaje en común: el lenguaje del AMOR. como dice San Juan en su Primera Carta: DIOS ES AMOR. El Espíritu Santo es el Amor entre el Hijo y el Padre. La Santísima Trinidad, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo es la Trinidad del Amor: Tres Personas distintas en Un solo Dios.Cada Persona de la Santísima Trinidad ama a las otras dos Personas. Desde nuestro Bautismo, tenemos a la Santísima Trinidad dentro de nosotros.
Al momento de nuestro Bautismo recibimos el Espíritu Santo y nos convertimos en hijos e hijas de Dios como miembros completos de la Iglesia Católica. En la Confirmación recibimos más del Espíritu Santo: recibimos los Siete Dones del Espíritu Santo, quien permanecedentro de nosotros por el resto de nuestras vidas.
En Pentecostés, se nos recuerda que los inicios de la Iglesia empezaron en el Salón superior en Jerusalem: "Cuando el tiempo de Pentecostés fue completo, los discípulos de Jesus estaban TODOS EN UN SOLO LUGAR...y de repente vino del cielo, un fuerte VIENTO, y llenó la casa entera en la cual estaban. Entonces aparecieron sobre ellos LENGUAS de FUEGO, que se posicionó en cada uno de ellos. Y TODOS SE LLENARON CON EL ESPÍRITU SANTO y empezaron a hablar en diferentes lenguas y EL ESPÍRITU los capacito para PROCLAMAR.” (Hechos 2:1-11). Este es el principio de la Proclamación de las Buenas Nuevas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo para el mundo entero: el Principio de la Iglesia Católica.”
Oremos juntos:
Padre Celestial, envía Tu Espíritu Santo sobre cada uno de nosotros cuando celebramos juntos el Pentecostés! ¡Llena nuestros corazones con el Amor del Espíritu Santo! Abre nuestros corazones para tener el Deseo de estar con Dios en todo tiempo! ¡Ven Espíritu Santo! Ayúdanos a entender que el estar con Dios es estar en el Cielo y que el Cielo empieza ahora y aquí mismo en la tierra. ¡Que nuestro mayor deseo sea estar con Dios en todo tiempo!
