In the Archdiocese of Washington, preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process, usually grades 7 and 8, but may include high school students as well.  

Beyond the classroom, (whether your the student attends Religious Education - CCD, Catholic school or Homeschooled),  we have a series of workshops to involve parents, students, mentors, and sponsors (as available).  These workshops take place one Sunday (2:30pm) each month followed by Mass (4 pm)  and participation in EDGE (Middle School Youth Ministry) or Life Teen if they are in high school from (5pm - 6:30 pm).   Parents are requested to join us at each workshop and stay through Mass, and then return to pick up your child(ren) after EDGE / Life Teen.  Of course, you are most welcome to remain with us during EDGE (MS Youth Ministry)  but you must sign up to be part of our Youth Core Teams and share your time, gifts and talents with the youth of our parish. Confirmation Preparation can be very exciting and a most important step in the spiritual life of a young Catholic.  Much of this is dependent upon the enthusiasm and example of the parents, but ultimately the teens themselves.  Please commit to being at each class, workshop, rally, and/or retreat as set forth on our schedule.  Commit to your service selection and completing assignments on time.

BIENVENIDOS A LA PREPARACIÓN DE CONFIRMACIÓN de la Iglesia Maria Auxiliadora!

En la Arquidiócesis de Washington, la preparación para el Sacramento de la Confirmación es un proceso de dos años, generalmente de 7 y 8 grados, pero también puede incluir a estudiantes de secundaria.

En adicional el catesismo - CCD, escuela Católica o Escuela Homeschooled), tenemos una serie de talleres para involucrar a los padres, estudiantes (incluyendo feligreses de OLHOC que asisten a las Escuelas Católicas o son homeschooled), mentores, y padrinos. Estos talleres ocurren un domingo cada mes seguidos por la misa dominical y participación en EDGE (Ministerio Juvenil).

Les pedimos a los padres que nos acompañen en cada taller y se queden a través de la misa, y luego vuelvan para recoger a su hijo (a) después del grupo de jovenes EDGE. Por supuesto, usted es muy bienvenido a permanecer con nosotros durante EDGE (Ministerio Juvenil), pero usted debe inscribirse para ser parte de nuestro equipo de voluntarios para el grupo juvenil (haga clic aqui) y compartir su tiempo, dones y talentos con los jóvenes de nuestra parroquia. La Preparación de confirmación puede ser muy emocionante y un paso más importante en la vida espiritual de un joven católico. Mucho de esto depende del entusiasmo y el ejemplo de los padres, pero en última instancia los adolescentes mismos. Por favor, comprométase a estar en cada clase, taller,  y/o retiro como se establece en nuestro horario. Comprométase con su selección de servicio. • Please drop off your kid/s to the Loyola Retreat House, St. Inigoes Youth Camp no later than 9:00 a.m. 

• Pick up time from the Youth Camp is at 7:00 p.m. / La hora de recogida en Youth Camp es a las 7:00 p.m.
