About Box of Joy:
Box of Joy is an annual Christmas gift ministry organized by local Catholic schools, parishes and groups across the United States and facilitated by Cross Catholic Outreach.  By packing Boxes of Joy with toys and other gifts, participants bless children suffering from extreme poverty by sharing the joy of Christmas and planting seeds of hope through the Gospel. .

This month the youth will be participating in the Box of Joy program and  we encourage every parishioner to also pack a Box of Joy!    If you need additional boxes please let us know.  

This year, we have set a goal to bless 200 impoverished children in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Guatemala!

How to Pack a Box of Joy

1. Get A Box - You can pick up a box after Mass or in the office.
2. Choose & Shop - Choose gender and age range between 2 to 14, then label your Box of Joy. Go shopping and personally select gifts to bring joy to a child — small toys, hygiene items, school supplies, hard candy, etc. (Please no liquids, food or combat items.) (see suggested list below)
3. DONATE - For each Box of Joy, please include $9 check payable to OLHOC. This covers $7 S&H from Drop-off Center to the child's country, and $2 to support the life-saving ministries of those working with the children.
4. Drop off your Box of Joy - Please return your box to the social hall on Sunday, October 28th. Pray for the mission and children who will receive the Boxes of Joy.
