Jeremiah's Word of Hope: "I know the plans I have for you"

February 21, 2025Through the prophet Jeremiah we all receive a WORD OF HOPE, a message much needed in a more and more secular/materialistic world. God tells each one of us facing daily challenges and tribulations: Do not worry! Trust in Me! Pray! Rejoice! I have a beautiful plan for you! Remember the Jubilee Year 2025! A Year filled with Hope in the Lord!
At my recent silent retreat of priests, Father Timothy Gallagher gave us a choice of Scripture passages for meditation. The Holy Spirit inspired me to select Jeremiah 29: 11-14. Our Retreat Master had given it the overall title “JEREMIAH’s WORD OF HOPE”. It is the central part of God’s letter to His people in a time of EXILE in Babylon. They had lost everything. Their temple in Jerusalem had been destroyed. They were sent into exile far away from their friends and relatives. They are now hopeless. They think that they would never return to their homes in Jerusalem. They live in total darkness. But the Lord reminds them of His unending Love and Mercy. He tells them that after 70 years in exile I will come to visit you and fulfill my promise to bring you back home. He then gives them these amazing words of encouragement, these words of GREAT HOPE:
“I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a FUTURE FULL OF HOPE...You will call upon me, come, and pray to me and I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me and will restore your fortunes...I will bring you back to the place from which I have exiled you.” This is their Jubilee! This is their return to the Promised Land! This is also our own Hope today: Jesus knows the fantastic plans His Father has for us. When we trustin God the Father, when we have Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we can be totally liberated by grace from our attachments to the world, from our slavery to sin. This is true Freedom, a great gift from God. This is GRACE! God’s Plan is to bring us back to the Garden of Eden where the first man and woman were created. This was Paradise: Heaven on earth. But the lies of the devil caused the Fall of both Adam and Eve. With the coming of the Son of Man on earth, everything changes once for all. This is the beginning of our Jubilee.
I invite you to meditate on the above Word of Hope from the Prophet Jeremiah. May God’s promise open your ears, minds and hearts. Can you find that Jubilee Peace in your heart? This is one way to go through the Holy Doors of the Jubilee 2025. Courage! Remember Jesus is the only Door to Heaven! Prepare yourself spiritually to go through the Holy Doors in 2025! JEREMIAH WORD OF HOPE:
¡Yo conozco los planes que tengo para ti!A través del profeta Jeremías todos recibimos PALABRA DE ESPERANZA, un mensaje tan necesitado en este mundo cada día más materialista y secular. Dios nos dice a los que enfrentamos diariamente los retos y tribulaciones: ¡No se preocupen! Confíen en Mí ¡ Oren! ¡Alegrense! Tengo hermosos planes para ustedes! ¡Recuerden el Año Jubilar 2025! Un Año lleno con Esperanza en el Señor!
En el reciente retiro en silencio de sacerdotes, el Padre Timothy Gallagher nos dio una selección de pasajes de la Escritura para meditarlos. El Espíritu Santo me inspiró a elegir Jeremías 29: 11 -14. Nuestro maestro del Retiro le había dado el título de “PALABRA DE ESPERANZA DE JEREMÍAS”. Es la parte central de la carta de Dios a Su pueblo durante el tiempo en EXILIO en Babilonia. Habian perdido todo. Su Templo en Jerusalén había sido destruido. Habían sido exiliados lejos de sus amigos y familiares. Ahora están sin esperanza. Pensaron que nunca volverían a sus hogares en Jerusalén. Vivían en la oscuridad total. Pero el Señor les recuerda su amor y misericordia infinita. Les dice que después de 70 años en el exilio vendré a visitarlos y cumplir mis promesas y llevarlos de regreso a su hogar y darles estas maravillosas palabras de aliento, estas palabras de GRAN ESPERANZA:
“Porque Yo conozco los planes para ustedes, planes para lo bueno y no para lo malo, para darles un FUTURO LLENO DE ESPERANZA...Me llamaran , vendrán a orar y Yo les escucharé. Cuando me busquen, me encontrarán. Cuando me busquen con todo su corazón, me encontraran y restauraré sus bienes...Los llevaré de regreso al lugar de donde los mande al exilio.” Este es su Jubileo! Este es su regreso a la Tierra Prometida! Esta es también nuestra Esperanza hoy: Jesús conoce los planes fantásticos que Su Padre tiene para nosotros. Cuando confiamos en Dios Padre, cuando tenemos Fe en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, podemos ser totalmente liberados por gracia de nuestro apegos de este mundo, de la esclavituddel pecado. Esta es la verdadera Libertad, un regalo enorme de Dios. Esto es GRACIA! El Plan de Dios es traernos de regreso al Jardín del Edén donde el primer hombre y mujer fueron creados. Este era el Paraiso: El Cielo en la Tierra. Pero las mentiras del diablo causaron la Caída de ambos Adán y Eva. Con la venida del Hijo del Hombre a la tierra, todo cambió de una sola vez. Este es el principio de nuestro Jubileo.
Los invito a meditar en las Palabras de Esperanza del profeta Jeremias que están escritas arriba.Que la Promesa de Dios abra sus oídos, mentes y corazones . ¿Puedes encontrar la Paz del Jubileo en tu corazón? Esta es una manera de atravesar la Puerta Santa del Jubileo 2025.
Animo! Recuerden que Jesus es la única Puerta al Cielo! Prepararse espiritualmente para atravesar la Puerta Santa en 2025 !
