Celebrating Easter In the Jubilee Year of Hope!

April 16, 2025We have finally entered the Holy of Holy, the most sacred time of the entire Liturgical Year: The Holy Week”, the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ! It is the climax! Without the Death of Jesus on the Cross and His Resurrection from the dead there would be no meaning to our Faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. There would be no Hope as Jesus is our only Hope!
To reach this climax we have walked together throughout the 40 days of Lent. This Jubilee Year 2025 of Hope we began our Lenten Journey with an amazing 40 Hours of Adoration and Confessions following a one-day parish Retreat reflecting on the biblical roots of the Jubilee. At the same time this Lenten Season has seen an unusually large number of funerals, a time to reflect on our human fragility and our belief in eternal life. Without such belief there is no purpose in life, no sense of direction. Jesus is our only Hope! Jesus says to his disciples: “I am the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14:1-6). He knows he is going to die. He wants to comfort them. Do not be anxious. I will never leave you alone. What a reassuring statement from Our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the last Supper with his disciples, his last Passover meal on earth. He has just established the Institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood. This is the first Day of the Triduum. Many of us remember Holy Thursday because of the humbling of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. Jesus encourages us to wash each other’s feet: a beautiful inspiration to remind us that Jesus has come to serve not to be served. Jesus whispers in our ears: “Where I am going, you know the way”. We are like the doubting Thomas. We tell Jesus, I don’t know where you are going. Jesus responds: “I am the Way!” Jesus is the Way, the only Way to God His Father. Jesus is the Door, the Gate. There is no other door to enter into Heaven to rest in the Love of God forever.
Jesus is the Truth, the Absolute Unchanging Truth. There is no other Truth. Nobody can find the Truth in the world. The world only presents relative truths, subject to change. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. He waits for us in Heaven. This is our Hope, our only Hope. When we suffer, we can trust in Jesus: Jesus, help us to carry our burden, our cross. Walking together with Jesus carrying the same cross, we can feel Joy and Peace in our heart. We have a foretaste of Heaven on earth.
We only have to do one thing: just to open our heart to the Holy Spirit! Come Holy Spirit! Guide our steps. Lead us to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Lead us to reconciliation with our brothers and sisters in this Jubilee Year of Hope. Lead us to the Eucharist, the Real Presence of Jesus, body, soul and divinity. Lead our entire parish to a Eucharistic Revival. Holy Spirit, lead us to Your Spouse Mary and then lead us to Jesus through Mary. Jesus, help us to surrender to you! We are totally Yours, Jesus. Forgive us Jesus as you forgave the good thief being crucified next to you on Calvary Good Friday. Remember us Jesus when you enter into Your Kingdom. How good it is to hear Your response: “Today you will be with me in Paradise.” As you died for us on the Cross, our greatest desire is to die for you, to die with You, to be One with You as You are One with the Father. Jesus, by dying for our sins on the Cross, you destroyed our death, our spiritual death. By rising from the dead, you restored our life. You lift us up to Heaven. You give us eternal life.
May God bless each one of us with the Hope of the Risen Lord! He is Risen! He is truly Risen! Rejoice! REJOICE IN THE RISEN LORD! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! May we all keep climbing the Mountain of God during the 50 days of the Easter Season to the Summit of Pentecost, the Descent of the Holy Spirit on all of us!

CELEBRANDO LA PASCUA DE RESURRECCIÓN
EN EL AÑO JUBILARFinalmente entramos en la Santa de las Santas, el tiempo más santo de todo el Año Litúrgico: La Semana Santa, la Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección de nuestro Señor Jesucristo! Es el climax! Sin la Muerte de Jesús en la Cruz y Su Resurrección de la muerte no habría ningún significado de nuestra Fe en Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. No habría Esperanza como Jesus es nuestra única esperanza!
Al alcanzar este clímax mientras caminamos juntos durante estos 40 días de Cuaresma. Este Año Jubilar de la Esperanza 2025 comenzamos nuestro caminar de Cuaresma con las maravillosas 40 Horas de Adoración y Confesiones después de un día de Retiro reflejando las raíces Bíblicas del Jubileo. Al mismo tiempo en este tiempo de Cuaresma han habido una gran cantidad de Funerales, un tiempo para reflexionar sobre nuestra fragilidad humana y nuestra creencia en la vida eterna. Sin nuestra creencia no habría propósito en la vida, ningún sentido de dirección. Jesus es nuestra única Esperanza! Jesus dijo a sus discípulos: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida.” (Juan 14:1-6). El sabía que iba a morir. El queria consolarlos. No esten ansiosos. Nunca los dejare solos. Una declaración de seguridad de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Esta es la Ultima Cena con sus discípulos, su última cena de Pascua en la tierra. Acababa de establecer la Institución de la Eucaristía y el Sacerdocio. Este es el primer día del Triduum. Muchos de nosotros recordamos el Jueves Santo por la manera como Jesus humildemente lavó los pies de sus discípulos. Jesus’ nos anima a lavarnos los pies unos a otros: una hermosa inspiración que nos recuerda que Jesus ha venido a servir y no ha ser servido. Jesus susurra en nuestros oídos: “A donde yo voy, ustedes conocen el camino”. Nosotros somos como el dudoso de Tomas. Le decimos a Jesus, Yo no sé a donde vas. Jesús responde: “¡Yo soy el Camino!” Jesús es el Camino, el Único Camino hacia Dios Su Padre. Jesús es la Puerta, el Portón. No hay otra puerta para entrar al Cielo para descansar en el Amor de Dios para siempre.
Jesús es la Verdad, la Verdad Absoluta que no cambia. No hay otra Verdad. Nadie puede encontrar la Verdad en este mundo. El mundo solo nos presenta verdades relativas, sujetas al cambio. Mantengamos nuestros ojos en Jesús. Es espera por nosotros en el Cielo. Esta es nuestra Esperanza, nuestra única Esperanza. Cuando sufrimos, podemos confiar en Jesus: Jesus, ayudanos a llevar nuestras cargas, nuestra cruz. Caminando juntos con Jesus llevando la misma cruz, podemos sentir la Alegría y la Paz en nuestro corazón. Podemos probar el Cielo en la tierra.
Solamente tenemos que hacer una cosa: solo abrir nuestro corazón al Espíritu Santo! ¡Ven Espíritu Santo! Guía nuestros pasos. Dirigirnos hacia el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. Dirigirnos hacia la reconciliación con nuestros hermanos y hermanas este Año Jubilar de la Esperanza. Dirigirnos hacia la Eucaristía, la Presencia Real de Jesús, cuerpo, alma y divinidad. Dirigenos completamente hacia la Reavivación de la Eucaristía. Espíritu Santo, dirigirnos hacia tu esposa Maria para que nos dirija hacia Jesus, y ayúdanos a someternos a Ti! Somos totalmente tuyos, Jesus. Perdónanos como perdonaste al ladrón bueno al ser crucificado cerca de Ti en el Calvario el Viernes Santo. Recuerdanos Jesus cuando entres en tu Reino. Que bueno es escuchar: “Hoy tú estarás conmigo en el Paraíso. “Así como moriste en la Cruz por nosotros, nuestro gran deseo es morir por ti, morir contigo, ser Uno contigo como Tu eres Uno con el Padre. Jesus, muriendo por nuestros pecados en la Cruz, destruyó nuestra, nuestra muerte espiritual muerte. Y resucitando de la muerte, restauró nuestra vida. Nos elevaste al Cielo, nos has dado vida eterna.
¡Que el Señor bendiga a cada uno de nosotros con la Esperanza del Señor Resucitado! El ha Resucitado! ¡Verdaderamente ha Resucitado! ¡Alegrense! ¡ALÉGRENSE EN EL SEÑOR RESUCITADO! ALELUYA! ALELUYA!
En nombre de todo los Sacerdotes y Personal, les deseamos que tengan un muy Bendecido Domingo de Pascua de Resurrección y Tiempo de Pascua!!! Que nos mantengamos subiendo al Monte de Dios durante estos 50 días del Tiempo de Pascua buscando la cima del Pentecostés, el descendimiento del Espíritu Santo sobre todos nosotros!
