A Beautiful Dream

September 7, 2023I will never forget the beautiful dream I had last week. I woke up in the middle of night. I felt an immense Joy! What is going on? I rarely remember any of my dreams, whether bad or good. Slowly I began to recall what I had just been dreaming.
It is a simple but so joyful dream that I wish to share it with you. Here it is: I was surrounded by a small group of people. They were all joyful. Everyone was helping everyone. They were always involved in prayer or reaching out to anyone asking for help. There was a sense of PEACE all around. Some people were resting near a beautiful lake. Others were fishing quietly. What a beautiful and peaceful community!
I pinched myself. Then I had a ha-Ha moment I get it! This is HEAVEN. It is HEAVEN ON EARTH! Pope Benedict XVI says that Heaven is God. Heaven is being with God. St. John Paul II says the Mass is Heaven on earth. For both Popes, we can experience glimpses of Heaven on Earth. So how to interpret my joyful dream? Is it a vision of how a small group of people can encounter Heaven on earth outside the Eucharist when they all follow the two most important commandments as summarized by Jesus:
1. Love God above anything else (e.g. money, pleasure, power) and above anybody else (including direct family) with all your heart, and
2. Love one another as I have loved you.
Or is it simply that Heaven can be considered a continuation of what we may at times already experienced on earth?
One way to reflect on a beautiful dream is to think about its opposite: a horrible nightmare. Did you have a nightmare recently, waking you up in the middle of the night, and then being relieved that it was only a dream and that you are fine and no longer submitted to a series of torments? What is the difference with a beautiful dream? Almost the same as between Hell and Heaven? We know that we can encounter a glimpse of Hell on earth. Hell is the eternal absence of the Love of God ....A glimpse of Hell on earth is when we deliberately choose to go AGAINST God' s key commandments of LOVE, though we know that GOD IS LOVE, and that with GOD EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

As we all enter into this Year of "RENEWED", let us pray to God the Father that our personal renewal in the Eucharist and In Christ may help us encounter a glimpse of Heaven, and help give us Hope in having eternal life beginning on earth!.

UN SUEÑO HERMOSO
Nunca olvidare este hermoso sueño que tuve la semana pasada. Me desperte en medio de la noche. Senti una inmensa alegria! Que esta sucediendo? Es muy raro que recuerde cualquiera de mis sueños, sean buenos o malos. Lentamente empiece a recordar lo que acabo de estar soñando.
Es un sueño muy simple pero lleno de alegria que deseo compartir con ustedes. Aqui esta: Estaba rodeado de un grupo pequeno de gente. Todos estaban alegresl. Todos se ayudaban un- os a otros. Ellos estaban siempre en oracion o buscando a quien necesitaba ayuda. Habia una sensacion de PAZ alrededor. Algunos de ellos estaban descansando cerca de un lago muy hermoso. Otros estaban pescando tran- quilamente. Que comunidad tan hermosa y pacifica!
Me pellisque para saber SI era real. Entonces tuve mi momento de claridad. Ya entendi! Esto es el CIELO. Este es el CIELO EN LA TIERRA!
El Papa Benedicto dijo que el Cielo es Dios. El Papa San Juan Pablo II dijo la Misa es el Cielo en la Tierra. Para ambos Papas, podemos experimentar un poco del Cielo en la Tierra. Como poder interpreter mi hermoso sueño? Es una vision de como un grupo pequeño de personas puede encontrar en Cielo en la tierra afuera de la Eucaristia cuando ellos siguen las dos mas importantes mandamientos que Jesus resumio asi:
1. Amar a Dios sobre todas las cosas (por ejemplo: dinero, placer, poder y sobre todas las personas (incluyendo familia directa) con todo tu Corazón, y
2. Amar a los demas como Yo los he amado.
O simplemente el Cielo es considerando como la continuacion de lo que ya estamos experimentando en la tierra
Una manera de reflexionar sobre este hermoso sueños pensar acerca de lo opuesto: una horrible pesadilla. Ha tenido una pesadilla recientemente, despertandose en medio de la noche y sentir el Alivio de haber estado solamente soñando y que ahora esta bien no estando mas sometido a una serie de tormentos? Cual es la diferencia entre un hermoso sueño? Casi lo mismo como estar entre el Infierno y el Cielo? Sabemos que podemos tener un poco de infierno en la tierra. El infierno es la Ausencia eterna del Amor de Dios ....Un poco de infierno en la tierra es cuando deliberadamente escogemos ir en CONTRA de los mandamientos de AMOR, sabiendo que DIOS ES AMOR , y que con DIOS TODO ES POSIBLE.
Diganme lo que piensan acerca de hermosos sueños y puedan compartir conmigo uno de sus alegres sueños para que todos nos beneficiemos de su experiencia.
Ahora que entremos en el año de la “RENOVACION”, Oremos a Dios Padre por nuestra renovacion personal en la Eucaristia y que Cristo nos ayude y nos de Esperanza de encontrar un poco del Cielo y nos ayude a empezar la vida eterna aqui en la tierra.
