POST COVID, “NEW NORMAL”, AND HOMEBOUND MINISTRY
Dear brothers and sisters, as we are ending the year of our Eucharistic Renewal we focus on the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and in the Church that is His body. He makes Himself present in our midst when we gather and invoke is name. The Church is a sacramental reality, and the Sacraments are His visible and tangible pres- ence among us. Therefore, watching Mass online does not in any way come close to celebrating it, let alone participat- ing in it. Hence, in this post COVID “new normal”, beginning July 4th, we will no longer livestream our masses, and we will rebuild our homebound ministry, in order to be able to be truly present to those who for reasons of age or health (or other serious reasons) are unable to attend Mass. Hence, we ask that anyone who is unable to attend Mass in person please contact the office. We have a team of Eucharistic ministers who visit parishioners weekly. If you would like to see a priest, please let us know and we will come.
In this post COVID “new normal”, we will no longer have the 1 pm Mass, the last one will be July 3rd and afterwards invite you to attend the Saturday 5 pm, or the 8:30 am Sunday, which are less crowded than 10 or 11:30 am Masses.
Whether you are new to Waldorf and searching for a church home, or an existing member looking for inspiration, spiritual guidance, information on the sacraments, or just the latest news we hope our website meets your needs. If you can't find what you are looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Our staff and parishioners are welcoming and excited to help. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.
